Cheyne Kendall, So., Schreiner
Schreiner sophomore Cheyne Kendall (Deer Park, Texas / DPHS) fired an 8-over 78-72-74—224 to finish as the individual runner-up and fuel a team title at the West Regional Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas. Kendall, who takes the league’s top weekly golfer award for the second time this spring, had the lowest score in the second and third rounds in the field of 41 golfers. He was just two strokes off medalist honors.
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES:
Texas Lutheran’s Chance Cathey tied for seventh individually with a 75-76-81—232 at the West Region Invitational. . . . Hardin-Simmons’ Tyler Mileger posted a 71-84-79—234 to finish 11th at Berry Creek Country Club. . . . Concordia Texas’ Jack Cersosimo had an 81-78-76—235 for a top-15 finish in Georgetown, Texas.
