RICHARDSON, Texas –– Howard Payne sophomore guard Brandon Irwin was named to D3hoops.com’s national Team of the Week for games played between January 25-31. It was the fifth time a player from the ASC has appeared on the national roll this season.

Irwin averaged 27.6 points per game in wins against Schreiner and Texas Lutheran. He scored 30 on 83.3 percent shooting against Schreiner and hit key free throws down the stretch to secure the win. Brandon then scored 25 against Texas Lutheran. He shot 19-for-29 from the floor and 14-for-17 from the line in the two games.

Irwin joins Concordia Texas’ Brad Walker and Ozarks’ Blake Mitchem as honorees from the ASC this season. Walker has landed on the team three times.
