ABILENE, Texas –The annual American Southwest Conference Fall Tennis Tournament will open Friday as eight league schools will compete at Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry Univeristy in Abilene, Texas.

Ten schools will compete on the courts in the fall semester tournament played in singles and doubles flights. Eight ASC teams – Concordia Texas, East Texas Baptist, Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne, LeTourneau, Mary Hardin-Baylor, McMurry and Sul Ross State -- will be joined by Schreiner and Dallas Baptist.

Several ASC teams will send singles and doubles representatives to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southwest Regional over the next two weekends. The women's Southwest ITA Regional will be played in Tyler, Texas September 22-24. The men's Southwest ITA Regional is scheduled September 28 through October 1 in San Antonio, Texas.

Results from the Fall Tournament will be posted at the conclusion.
