Texas-Tyler freshman Laura Lindsey (Montgomery, Texas / MHS) fired a 76-78—154 to win the individual title and fuel a team title at the Al Jones Memorial Invitational at par-72 Cascades Country Club in Tyler, Texas. Lindsey’s opening round 76 was the third lowest of the tournament and she was one of just three golfers in the field of 43 to post two rounds in the 70s. Her play helped the Patriots prevail by one stroke over Southwestern.
