Texas Lutheran senior left-hander Megan Carmichael (Yoakum, Texas / YHS) went 2-0 with a save, not allowing an earned run over 14 2/3 innings of work that helped the Bulldogs secure the West Division title for the first time since 2004. Carmichael, who takes the division’s top weekly pitching award for the second consecutive week, scattered four hits and struck out 10 batters. Both of her starts were two-hit shutouts against Howard Payne.
