Jillian Via were named the East Division Co-Most Valuable Players while Mary Hardin-Baylor senior outside hitter
Jenna Gillean claimed the West Division MVP for the second time to highlight the 2019 American Southwest Conference Volleyball awards.
Crow led the league with 4.07 kills per set while hitting .190 and averaging 3.53 digs. She was the 2018 East Division Freshman of the Year.
Via ranked led the ASC with 0.74 aces per set and was fourth with 3.18 kills. She also hit .246 with 3.50 digs per set, earning All-Conference honors for the second time and helping the Comets to an East Division title.
Gillean was eighth in the league with 2.74 kills and ninth with 3.80 digs per set while hitting .210. She earned All-Conference honors for the second straight year and helped the Cru to a West Divison title with a 15-0 record.
Six ASC schools are represented on the All-Conference Team led by UMHB with four and UTD with three each. McMurry placed two on the prestigious squad, while Concordia Texas, LeTourneau and Sul Ross State had one selection each.

Natalie Davenport were the Co-Freshmen of the Year. East Texas Baptist’s
Allie Fennell and UTD’s
Madeleine McCall were the Co-Sportsmanship Athletes of the Year.
Marci Allison and
Zach Villarreal of UT Dallas and
Mallory Matthews and
Savanna Stutts of LeTourneau were the Co-Coaching Staffs of the Year. This is the ninth coaching honors for Allison and her staff.
West Division award winners included Setter of the Year
Cory Jo Martin of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Libero of the Year
Mary Johnson from Hardin-Simmons. Cowgirl teammate
Triniti Anderson was the Freshman of the Year while McMurry’s
Megan Martinez was selected as the Newcomer of the Year. CTX senior
Lianne VanDyke was the West Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.
Nicole McCoy-Dalby and
Dave Taylor from Concordia were the Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Tornados to a 22-6 overall record and 12-3 mark in the ASC.

Sarah Paolini and
Corinne Novak and UTD’s
Caroline Shecterle were three-time recipients. McGowan, Shecterle, Paolini, UMHB’s
Miranda Klein and HSU’s
Ashley Pierce were four-time All-Division selections.
