ASC Men's Soccer Postseason Awards for 2020-21

RICHARDSON, Texas – Ozarks junior forward Drew Mott and Concordia Texas sophomore forward Marco Vazquez were named the Co-Offensive Players of the Year while Hardin-Simmons senior midfielder Mackenson Cadet, Concordia senior Zack Kusak and UO sophomore Kyle Seymour were the Tri-Defensive Players of the Year to highlight the 2020-21 American Southwest Conference Men’s Soccer awards and all-conference teams after a vote of the league’s head coaches.
 
Mott scored five goals, including three game-winners, and had two assists, earning ASC Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player honors. He was also selected as the Midfielder of the Year. Vazquez led the conference with seven goals for the runner-up Tornados.
 
Cadet, who was the 2019 Midfielder of the Year, anchored a Cowboy defense that recorded five shutouts. Kusak posted a pair of assists and helped CTX to four shutouts and a 1.00 goals against average. Seymour scored twice for the champion Ozarks and contributed to four shutouts and a 0.89 GAA.
 
Ozarks senior Logan Valestin was the Goalkeeper of the Year after recording 22 saves, a 0.94 goals against average and three shutouts. Teammate Colin Cosby earned Defensive Freshman of the Year honors. HSU forward Jakob Fiol was the Offensive Freshman of the Year after recording six goals and two assists for the West Division champion Cowboys.
 
LeTourneau senior defender Eric Smith took home the Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year honors. Aaron Brueckner was named Coach of the Year after guiding Ozarks to a 7-4-1 record and its first ASC Championship since 2003.

Eight players were named to the All-Conference teams for the third time, while another 21 earned their second selection.
