KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Six players from the American Southwest Conference were named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Teams and Hardin-Simmons senior goalkeeper
Kayla Gable was honored on the Scholar All-America Team.
Gable and East Texas Baptist senior forward
Ashleigh Rondon earned Scholar All-Region honors for the second time and was the ASC Goalkeeper of the Year.

Brianna Mickshaw represented ETBU in the women's South Region. Gable and senior forward
Rachel Bean from HSU were in the West.
For the men, Ozarks junior defender
Truman Hensley and senior keeper
Logan Valestin were on the men's Scholar All-Region Team.
Criteria for the honor includes a 3.40 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career, a starter in more than 50 percent of all games and a junior or above in academic standing.
Student-athletes on this year’s Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the digital College Awards Ceremony beginning June 30, 2021 on www.unitedsoccercoaches.org.
