RICHARDSON, Texas – East Texas Baptist freshman outside hitter Graycee Mosley was named 2022 Most Valuable Player and Freshman of the Year to highlight the 2022 American Southwest Conference volleyball awards.
 
Mosley, who had a breakout season with three ASC Offensive Player of the Week awards, led the conference in kills (427), kills per set (4.74), and points (472).
 
UT Dallas junior Emma Sevening was named Setter of the year after compiling 489 on the season and averaging 5.62 per set for the regular season champion Comets.
 
LeTourneau junior Morgan Nix earned Libero of the Year after leading the conference with 669 and averaging 6.31 per set and ranked among the top six nationally at NCAA Division III.
Concordia Texas graduate student outside hitter Kinsy Haschke (Mont Belvieu, Texas) was selected Newcomer of the Year. Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year went to UT Dallas senior right side/outside hitter Catherine Croft.
 
Zach Villarreal and Kaylie McHugh of UT Dallas were named the Coaching Staff of the Year. In his first season, Villarreal guided the Comets to an 18-5 record and 14-2 conference record to earn the regular season title.
 
Sul Ross State senior outside hitter Annika Canaba earned All-Conference honors for the fourth time in her career, while Mary Hardin-Baylor junior setter Hannah Frasca, Concordia Texas senior outside hitter Sarah Ghormley, and Croft were three-time recipients.
