HITTER OF THE WEEK – Madison Mayhew, 1B, So., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons sophomore first baseman
Madison Mayhew (Beaverton, Ore.) led the Cowgirls with seven runs-batted-in to boast a 3-0 series sweep over Ozarks to open league play. Mayhew went 5-for-9 with a triple and home run.
CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Grason Long, RHP, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior right-handed pitcher
Grason Long (Corrigan, Texas)
pitched five innings of an 8-0 complete game shutout against HPU on Friday with nine strikeouts. On Saturday she pitched four innings with one earned run and five strikeouts. Long only allowed four runs on the whole week.
CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Hailee Leger, RHP, Jr., LeTourneau
LeTourneau junior right-handed pitcher
Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) tossed her second complete-game shutout of the year in a 4-0 win at Sul Ross. She struck out a season-high nine, while scattering four hits and three walks. Leger has allowed just one run in 20 innings this season and has 20 strikeouts. This is Leger’s second ASC Pitcher of the Week honor this spring.

McMurry freshman first baseman
Bre Barajas (Abilene, Texas) reeled off three straight multiple-hit outings to ensure a weekend sweep of UT-Dallas for the War Hawks. Has a current string of four multiple-hit games in a row and a similar hitting streak in progress. His batting average has sky-rocketed over 250 points (.214-..462) over her last four games played.
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior outfielder
Izzy Gutierrez (Belton, Texas) hit 0.556 on the week going 5-9. She recorded two RBIs and a double. Gutierrez scored two runs and had a slug percentage of 0.667.
East Texas Baptist junior shortstop
Tristen Maddox (Mission, Texas)
led ETBU with a .500 batting average producing 3 RBI taking the series from CTX, 2-1. She had 2 RBI in game one with two doubles and one RBI in game two in a sweep on Friday afternoon.
LeTourneau sophomore outfielder
Alexa Neilon (Grapevine, Texas) went a combined 4-for-7 in a doubleheader sweep of Sul Ross on Friday with two RBIs and three extra-base hits. She went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, and two RBIs in a game one win before going 2-for-4 with a double in game two.
Ozarks sophomore shortstop
Mack Lucio (Bedford, Texas) hit a steady .333 in the Eagles' series against Hardin-Simmons.

McMurry senior right-handed pitcher
Jenna Lewis (Hearne, Texas) compiled fourth and fifth eight-strikeouts-or-more games this season to help lead McMurry to sweep of UT-Dallas during ASC opening weekend ... Ran current string of starts to six in a row in which she has compiled complete game efforts.
Hardin-Simmons junior right-handed pitcher
Aubrianna Salazar (Abilene, Texas) did not allow an earned run and scattered four hits over four innings in a 10-1 win over Ozarks that was run-ruled in five innings. Salazar notched five strikeouts and did not allow a walk.
East Texas Baptist senior right-handed pitcher
Ashley Croft (Cypress, Texas) earned the win in game two of the series in a 7-3 victory. She went all seven innings and walked just one batter and retired the side in the 1st, 5th, and 7th innings.
