DALLAS, Texas –
East Texas Baptist earned the 2024 American Southwest Conference Volleyball Regular Season Championship title and the right to host the 2024 ASC Championship Tournament.
This will be the 27th ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament held.
East Texas Baptist will host the Championship Tournament on November 15
th -16
th in Marshall. The top three seeds receive a first-round bye, while the one quarterfinal match will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15
th. Later that day will be two semifinal matches. Hardin-Simmons and Mary Hardin-Baylor will compete at 4:00 p.m. followed by East Texas Baptist and the winner of the quarterfinal at 6:30 p.m. The ASC Championship match will take place on Saturday, November 16
th at 3:00 p.m.

No. 1 seed East Texas Baptist (24-1, 8-0) picked up its first ASC Regular Season Championship title since they earned the Co-East Division Champions Title in 2008. The Tigers will be the number one seed in the tournament and will play the winner of LeTourneau and Howard Payne. This will be the 22
nd appearance for ETBU as they have gone 27-23 in the tournament all-time. The Tigers won the 2023 ASC Championship last season, sweeping the Cru 3-0 in the final to earn the title.
No. 2 seed Hardin-Simmons (14-10, 4-4) will make their 16
th ASC tournament appearance after winning the tiebreaker for second seed. The Cowgirls will take on No. 3 Mary Hardin-Baylor in the semifinals. Hardin-Simmons earned a quarterfinal win last season over LeTourneau before falling 3-0 in the semifinals to the Cru. The Cowboys have five ASC titles and have gone 27-16 in tournament play.
No. 3 seed Mary Hardin-Baylor (21-7, 4-4) will play No. 2 Hardin-Simmons in the semifinals on Friday. This will be the 17
th tournament appearance for East Texas Baptist and fourteenth consecutive tournament. Last season, UMHB earned a semifinal win over Hardin-Simmons before falling the ETBU in the championship match. The Cru have made an appearance in the ASC championship match in every season but one since 2014. UMHB has won four titles and has a tournament record of 24-19.
No. 4 seed LeTourneau (13-15, 3-5) will play the quarterfinal match with Howard Payne on Friday morning. The YellowJackets won their first meeting of the season with Howard Payne before falling in five sets in late October. Letourneau also won a match against Hardin-Simmons and Mary Hardin-Baylor this season. This will be the eighth tournament appearance for LeTourneau and seventh consecutive. The YellowJackets hold a 2-7 record in tournament action.
No. 5 seed Howard Payne (13-11, 1-7) will face LeTourneau in the quarterfinal match on Friday morning. In their last meeting, the Yellow Jackets earned a five-set win. The Yellow Jackets return for their second consecutive tournament after ending a long drought last season, as they qualified for the tournament for the first time since 2016.
