AUSTIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons women’s soccer student-athletes Kaylee Maddox and Mercy Mummert were selected on the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Teams, released Wednesday.
Kaylee Maddox, a graduate student midfielder, was selected Second Team Academic All-America. Maddox is studying Exercise Science and holds a 4.00 GPA. She led the conference with 10 assists and guided the Cowgirls to a conference championship. She has recorded 22 points on the season and six goals. Maddox was also named USC Third Team All-Region, ASC Co-Midfielder of the Year and First Team All-ASC.
Mercy Mummert, a graduate student defender, was selected Third Team Academic All-America. Mummert is studying Biology and holds a 4.00 GPA. She started in 20 games for the Cowgirls with more than 1,500 minutes spent on the backline. Mummert also added five assists and a game-winning goal. She earned her fifth All-ASC honor this season as she was selected First Team All-ASC.
This is the second CSC Academic All-America honors for Maddox and Mummert.
