D3hoops.com All-Region Team
DALLAS – Hardin-Simmons senior guard
Paris Kiser headlined D3hoops.com 2024 women’s basketball All-Region 10 team awards by being named Player of the Year. Kiser also was part of a quartet from the American Southwest Conference to earn All-Region distinction.
Kiser and Mary Hardin-Baylor guard
Arieona Rosborough were selected First Team, while HSU had senior guard
Anna Fanelli and senior forward
Parris Parmer named Second Team.
Rosborough and Parmer have earned All-Region Team three times and Rosborough was previously awarded 2022 Region 10 Rookie of the Year. Four players is the most the ASC has had on a regional team since D3hoops.com moved 10 regions in 2022.
There were 812 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. It’s the 23rd season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams. Players from these lists are eligible for the
D3hoops.com All-America teams. The teams will be released March 16, at the national championship game.
Kiser was also picked ASC Co-Player of the Year and was named a WBCA Senior All-Star this season. She led the conference in total points with 572 points and helped the Cowgirls to a 26-4 record, ASC Women’s Basketball Championship, ASC Women’s Basketball Regular Season title, and NCAA Division III Sweet 16 appearance.
Rosborough was named ASC Defensive Player of the Year and All-ASC First Team. She led the conference averaging 19.5 points per game and was in the top ten for rebounds with a 6.4-clip. This is her third all-region award for the junior, who helped the Cru go to 21-7 and advance to the NCAA First Round.
Fanelli set records for Cowgirl assists in nearly every category and became one of four NCAA DIII players with more than 700 in her career, ranking fourth all-time. She was All-ASC Third Team and led the league with 178 assists.
Parmer averaged 12.4 points a game and led the Cowgirls with 6.5 rebounds a game. She became the fifth player in program history to score 1,500 career points. She was named All-ASC First Team, ASC All-Tournament MVP, and is one of ten finalists for the 2024 Jostens Trophy.
