OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kyle Brown, QB, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior quarterback Kyle Brown (Cedar Park, Texas) was 14-of-17 for 180 yards with two touchdowns and made plays with his feet in the Cowboys’ win over ETBU. He finished with just 14 yards rushing when the sack yardage was added in, but he had four (positive) carries for 36 yards while two that were first down runs on third and long.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Da’Marion Morris, S, Jr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior safety Da’Marion Morris (Orange, Texas) was a key contributor to the Cru's defense on Saturday, totaling 12 tackles in a win against No. 19 Texas Wesleyan (NAIA). He had seven solo takedowns with five assisted tackles, adding 1.5 tackles for loss. Morris was a big part of a Cru secondary that helped limit the Rams to 200 passing yards less than they totaled the week before in the win.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Pedro Altamirano, K, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons junior kicker Pedro Altamirano (Clyde, Texas) was 4-of-5 on PATs and was a weapon on kickoffs, including four more touchbacks on six kickoffs. He even had a touchback on a kickoff from the 20 after a penalty.
 

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Defensive
Hardin-Simmons senior linebacker Kaiden Roden (Quinlan, Texas) led another stout defensive effort that allowed just seven points. They held the Tigers under 100 yard rushing and to just 272 yards on the day. He had 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss.
 
Special Teams
Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore Luke Vidal (League City, Texas) was huge in the Cru's return game, running back tow kicks for a total of 76 yards. His long-return of 53 yards directly set the Cru up with a short-field score.
