MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Jeremiah Calderon, Fr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman Jeremiah Calderon (Copperas Cove, Texas) ran a 26:37.6 at the Watson Collegiate, placing 49th out of 214 runners. The meet featured athletes from Division I, Division II and Division III.
 
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Jasmin Mendez, Gr., Hardin-Simmons  
Hardin-Simmons graduate student Jasmin Mendez (Abilene, Texas) was in the front of the pack for Hardin-Simmons with a top 10 finish at the Southwestern Showdown hosted in Georgetown on Saturday. Mendez took sixth overall in the meet out of 78 runners with a 6k time of 24:53 for the Cowgirls.
 
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
 
Hardin-Simmons senior Noah Bela (Midland, Texas) led the field of Cowboy runners at the Southwestern Showdown on Saturday in Georgetown. Bela had an 8k race time of 27:46 and finished in 17th place overall out of 88 runners at the meet.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore Andrea Gibson ran a 25:23.9 at the Watson Collegiate, placing 60th out of 168 athletes.

East Texas Baptist senior Phoebe Dunham had the fourth-fastest NCAA Division III time at the Mississippi College Invite in the 6K race at 23:43.5. Her time was the fourth fastest in the program's history for the 6K as she is now on the list five times.

East Texas Baptist freshman Noah Zarate had the top time at 26:49.50 in the 8K race coming in 58th place out of almost 200 runners at the Mississippi College Inivte. He was less than 10 seconds off the top 50 runners.
