ABILENE, Texas – East Texas Baptist University women's cross country team won the 2025 ASC Championship with a team score of 33. The championship was the first in school history for the women. Phoebe Dunham from East Texas Baptist took home Individual Medalist Honors with a time of 23:09.
Mary Hardin-Baylor finished in second place with 44 points, while Hardin-Simmons finished in thrid place with 49 points.
ETBU had three girls finish in the top five, with Danna Requena finishing in third covering the 6k course in 24:33 and Hannah Willis in fourth with a time of 24:39.
Jasmin Mendez from Hardin-Simmons finished in second place, while Andrea Gibson from Mary Hardin-Baylor wrapped out the top five finishing with a time of 24:44.
ETBU's coaching staff received coaching staff of the year and had six runners finish in the top 20.
The teams will travel to particpate in the NCAA Regional race on November 15 hosted by Pomona-Pitzer in California.
