DALLAS, Texas – Seven student-athletes were named on the ABCA/Rawlings DIII All-Region Teams.
First Team
LeTourneau graduate student designated hitter
Dane Jones slashed .408/.516/.882, while totaling 62 hits, 60 RBI, 54 runs scored and 21 home runs. Each of those marks ranked among the top 5 in the league, with slug percentage, runs scored, RBI and home runs ranking first. Jones broke the ASC career home run record this season with 62 total in his time as a YellowJacket.
Second Team
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior third baseman
Riley Bender led the Cru this season with a .365 batting average this season. He tallied 54 hits with 37 runs scored and 48 RBI. Bender recorded a .703 slug percentage with nine home runs, 19 doubles and two triples.
Third Team
East Texas Baptist graduate student outfielder
Luke Bumpus led the Tigers at the plate with a .408 batting average. He recorded a .687 slug with 60 hits including 12 doubles, nine home runs and a triple. Bumpus scored 44 runs and batted in 42 more.
East Texas Baptist junior outfielder
Connor Massimini had a .309 batting average this season. He totaled 34 hits with 34 runs scored and 32 RBI. Massimini hit 10 home runs, five doubles and two triples. He also took 30 walks and stole ten bases.
East Texas Baptist junior designated hitter
Ben Lea held a .370 batting average this season with 60 hits. He recorded a .698 slug with 12 home runs, 13 doubles and two triples. Lea scored 48 runs and drove in 42 more.
Hardin-Simmons senior utility player
Jake Trapani batted a .347 this season. He recorded 41 hits with 12 doubles, five home runs and a triple. Trapani scored 18 runs and batted in 30 more. He also made seven mound appearances, earning two wins. Trapani pitched two complete games while throwing 39.2 total innings.
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman pitcher
Kolby McBee led the Cru with a 3.88 ERA and a 1.53 Whip. He was 7-2 in nine games started, making 11 total appearances. McBee was top 10 in the league with 51.0 innings pitched and 35 strikeouts and held batters to a .292 batting average.
