OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Graycee Mosley, OH, Sr., East Texas Baptist

East Texas Baptist senior outside hitter Graycee Mosley (Troy, Texas) orchestrated a very effective offense to help the Tigers gain a pair of sweeps. She totaled 31 kills with a .311 hitting percentage across six mathces. Against Centenary, Mosley had 18 Kills on only two errors for a .485 hitting percentage. She totaled 13 kills and 13 digs against UMHB for her 61st career double-double. 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kat Martinez, L, Jr., Hardin-Simmons

Hardin-Simmons junior libero Kat Martinez (Abilene, Texas) showed up big for the Cowgirl backline in the 3-0 win at Howard Payne to begin the ASC season 1-0. Martinez finished with her best passing night of the season with 19 digs in three sets, averaging 6.33 digs a set in the win. She added three assists and one service ace for the Cowgirls on Friday night in Brownwood.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Offensive 

Hardin-Simmons junior middle blocker Jadyn Hernandez (Abilene, Texas) had an immaculate evening for the Cowgirls swinging for .600 against Howard Payne on Friday night to help the Cowgirls start American Southwest Conference play 1-0. Hernandez finished with nine kills out of 15 total attacks and had zero attacking errors in the middle. She averaged 3.0 kills per set and also totaled five block assists for Hardin-Simmons.

Defensive

East Texas Baptist junior middle blocker Anita Hancock (Celina, Texas) pitched a shutout this weekend against both Centenary and UMHB including 12 total blocks (5 against Centenary and 7 against UMHB). She also totaled five digs and 16 kills, scoring 24.0 points. She averaged two points per set and was able to prevent a very talented UMHB offense from winning a set in Belton Texas on a Friday night.
