AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Games: September 22-28, 2025

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Paul Woodard, RB, Jr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist junior running back Paul Woodard (Freeport, Texas) becomes the first ETBU running back since 2015 (Kendall Roberson) to record four-straight 100+ yards rushing games. Woodard had 170 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns. He produced two long runs in the game with one on a fourth-and-one breaking free for a 48-yard run to make it 21-14 just before the half (2:02). He had back-to-back touchdown runs with his first at 6:28 in the second quarter to tie the game at 14. On that drive, he had five rushes for 17 yards ending with the five-yard touchdown run. On the next possession, ETBU started at their own 43-yardline and four straight rushes from Woodard led to the go-ahead touchdown ending on the fourth-and-one for 48-yards and the touchdown.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Dominick Williams, DE, Sr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist senior defensive end Dominick Williams (Houston, Texas) once again was a defensive menace, with nine tackles, one sack, and 3.5 tackles for loss against TLU. In the first quarter, with ETBU up 7-6, he had a tackle for loss on a fourth-and-one at ETBU's 20-yard line to stop the drive and a two-yard loss giving the ball back to ETBU and ending TLU's chance to take the lead. In the second quarter, with TLU at ETBU's five-yard line and the Tigers up, 21-14, with just under two minutes to play, he had a three-yard tackle for loss on second-and-five to put the ball at the eight-yard line. The defense then held TLU to no points and kept the lead just before half. He earned his sack in the third quarter to set up a fourth-and-11 for a TLU punt.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mitchell White, K, Fr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist freshman kicker Mitchell White (Corinth, Texas) made a 25-yard field goal with 3:12 left in the game putting ETBU up by 10, 24-14, which became the difference in the game. TLU scored with 54 seconds left to pull within three as the field goal was the winner for ETBU. He also had five kickoffs for an average of 51 yards per kickoff.
