New Braunfels, Texas – This week’s ASC Conference Player of the Week, Josie Bruder, was selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week (Week 7). The honor follows a dominant stretch from January 4–11, where she averaged 25 points per game while shooting 47% from the field and 53% from three. Bruder scored 21 points in a UMHB win at Coast Guard after posting a season-high 29 points against St. Thomas. She continued her strong play on January 12 in a 72–42 UMHB win at Saint Joseph, recording 27 points on 64.7% shooting and making five three-pointers.

The senior forward from Plano earned All-ASC Second Team, CSC Academic All-District, ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team, and Academic All-ASC honors for the 2024–25 season.

UMHB opens conference play on Saturday, January 17, at 1:00 PM in Marshall, Texas, against East Texas Baptist University.
