PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Macey Jones, F, So., East Texas Baptist

East Texas Baptist forward Macey Jones averaged 19.5 points per game while shooting 56 percent from the field across two contests this week. In game one against Howard Payne, Jones recorded 18 points on 7 for 12 shooting from the field. She followed that performance by surpassing her previous total with 21 points and five offensive rebounds.

The sophomore is now averaging 12.1 points per game this season as East Texas Baptist prepares to close out the regular season at home in Marshall against Hardin-Simmons.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Hardin-Simmons guard Jacqueline Berry and the Cowgirls traveled to Michigan this week, facing Hope College and Adrian College. Across the two games, Berry scored 12 and 15 points, averaging 13.5 points per game for the week. In a tight match up against Hope College, Berry recorded six steals, marking a season-high. She followed that performance with a win over Adrian College, adding three more steals while shooting 50 percent from the field in just 24 minutes of action.
