HITTER OF THE WEEK – Jacob Hollingsworth, Jr., 3B, Hardin-Simmons
Jacob Hollingsworth of Hardin-Simmons has been named the Week 3 ASC Baseball Hitter of the Week after helping lead the Cowboys to a 3-1 record last week. Hollingsworth recorded hits in all four games, including a pair of three-hit performances in HSU’s series against Central (Iowa).

He finished the week 8-for-18 at the plate, batting .444 with five RBI and six extra-base hits. In a tight 5-4 victory in the series finale, Hollingsworth drove in two runs to help secure the win. He also scored two runs during the week.

 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Alex Hill, So., P, Mary Hardin-Baylor
Alex Hill of University of Mary Hardin-Baylor has earned back-to-back ASC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors following a career-high performance at Southwestern (Tex.). Hill struck out 12 batters over seven innings, facing 25 batters and allowing just four hits in a 4-1 victory.

Hill has been instrumental in UMHB’s 7-3 start to the 2026 season. The Cru will host Macalester College in Belton on Friday, February 27 for a three-game series.


OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

HITTERS
Nolan Williams helped lead Mary Hardin-Baylor to a 4-0 weekend with one win over Schreiner and three over Southwestern (Tex.). Williams totaled five hits, five RBI, and five runs scored during the weekend. In the final game, he recorded three hits, including two doubles, drove in four runs, and scored once.
 
PITCHERS
Hardin-Simmons' Caleb Reynolds delivered a strong seven-inning performance in an 11-1 win over Central (Iowa). Reynolds struck out seven batters while allowing six hits and just one run. The senior will next face the University of Texas Dallas on Tuesday, February 24.

Luke Watkins of Howard Payne University recorded seven strikeouts over 7.1 innings in the Yellow Jackets’ match up with Lyon. Watkins held opponents to a .028 batting average across 27 batters faced, showing an efficient individual outing for the junior.
