MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Cole MacMillan, So., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Cole MacMillan and the Cru traveled to Conyers, Georgia, to compete in the DeKalb Emory Invitational. MacMillan finished in 8th place, carding a 78 (+6) in the final round to finish the tournament at +5 overall. With five of the seven golfers ahead of him ranked nationally, the competition was strong throughout the field. MacMillan, alongside his teammates, helped Mary Hardin-Baylor secure a 4th place team finish.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Lew, So., UC Santa Cruz
Olivia Lew tied for 2nd place in a highly competitive field, with the top 20 finishers all ranked nationally. Lew and UC Santa Cruz competed at the Deb Jackson Invitational in Douglasville, Georgia. She finished at +3, just four strokes behind first place. The Banana Slugs placed fourth overall.
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Lucas Latimer (Mary Hardin-Baylor) finished tied for 10th with a score of 222 (+6) for the tournament, helping the Cru to a fourth-place team finish.
Camryn Kiser (Mary Hardin-Baylor) finished tied for 18th at the Deb Jackson Invitational, helping the Cru to a fifth-place finish in Douglasville.
