SKILLMAN, N.J. – Seniors David Ashlock, Brad Fenter and Nick Kreines as well as sophomore Andrew Reznik were named doubles All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Thursday, all becoming the first doubles All-Americans in UT Tyler men's tennis history.

Kreines and Fenter qualified for the honor at the start of the fall 2009 season, winning the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament by defeating Bobby Cocanougher and Cory Kowal of national powerhouse Trinity University. On the year, the duo cominbed for a 22-12 record at the No. 2 position, including a 9-3 mark in tournament play.

It wasn't until June 10 that Ashlock and Reznik learned of their All-American status, meeting the criteria by finishing in the Top 10 in the final ITA rankings at No. 7. The duo went 22-7 at the No. 1 spot, including a 16-5 record in dual match play, and were selected as one of 16 doubles pairings to compete in the NCAA Individual Championships in Oberlin, Ohio. They fell in the opening round 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 to a duo from Middlebury College.

As a team, the Patriots finished 16-7 (5-0 ASC East) and won a third consecutive ASC Championship.
