RICHARDSON, TX --- Hardin-Simmons designated hitter Troy Tarrant and Concordia Texas utility player Collin Janssen -- both seniors -- were named preseason All-Americans by D3Baseball.com. Both were second-team selections.

Tarrant (Abilene, TX / AHS) batted .408 with seven home runs, five triples, 15 doubles and 51 RBIs, while Janssen (Bryan, TX / Temple College) hit.377 with two home runs, one triple, 12 doubles and 25 RBIs as a catcher and went 2-1 on the mound.

Earning honorable mention for preseason All-America status was Louisiana College senior second baseman Jordan Marks, Texas-Dallas junior right-hander Derek Dallas and Texas Lutheran senior right-hander Brad Orosey.
