HITTER OF THE WEEKBlake Bonnin, OF, So., Texas-Tyler
Sophomore outfielder Blake Bonnin (Baytown, Texas/Barbers Hill HS) helped the Patriots go 2-1 in the Sul Ross State series hitting .600 in three games, scoring four runs while leading the team with six RBI. As a team, the Patriots scored 25 runs in three games, totaling 27 hits and three homers.
 
CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEKJordan Wilkerson, RHP, So., East Texas Baptist
Sophomore pitcher Jordan Wilkerson (Irving, Texas/Home School) pitched his longest outing of the year with 8.0 innings in a 1-0 shutout win over Texas Dallas. Wilkerson did not allow a run, had five strikeouts and retired the side three times. In the seventh inning with two outs and two men on base, he struck out the batter looking to end the threat. It was the only time in game UTD had a runner reach third base against Wilkerson.
 
CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEKTyler Lamers, RHP, Fr., Louisiana College
Freshman pitcher Tyler Lamers (Luling, La./Hahnville HS) was outstanding in his first career conference start against defending ASC Champion LeTourneau. Lamers tossed a complete game five-hit shutout in a head-to-head matchup against returning All-Region pitcher Cody Whitley, leading the Wildcats to a key 1-0 win in game one of their series against the YellowJackets. With the win, Lamers became the first freshman in LC history to throw a complete game shutout in his first career ASC start. Lamers has thrown back-to-back complete games in his first two career starts against Texas Lutheran and LeTourneau.

OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES AT THE PLATE
 
Concordia Texas sophomore outfielder Race Mellman (Refugio, Texas/Waller HS) paced the Tornados’ offensive attack last week, hitting .500 (5-for-10) with two doubles. Mellman also scored twice and slugged .700 in the two victories. In Sunday's opening contest at Ozarks, Mellman went 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored twice. In the nightcap, he added two singles and drove in a run.
 
East Texas Baptist senior outfielder Matt Sullivan (Oceanside, Calif./Oceanside HS) had key hits in the series against Texas Dallas. In game one Sullivan had a sac fly to make it 3-0 in a 4-3 win. In game two he had the only RBI of the game in a 1-0 win with a single through the right side in the sixth inning and in an 8-1 loss on Friday he recorded ETBU's only RBI.
 
LeTourneau sophomore second baseman Kyle Jacobs (Leander, Texas/Leander HS) hit .368 as the YellowJackets posted a 4-1 record last week. Jacobs had a pair of multi-hit games on the week and had a team-best seven hits and four RBI in the five games.
 
Louisiana College senior catcher Garrett Parsons (Channelview, Texas/Channelview HS) led LC offensively for a second straight week, as he collected five hits in 11 at-bats and drove in the Wildcats only run in game one on Friday in a 1-0 LC win over LeTourneau.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior outfielder Will Stafford (Katy, Texas/Cinco Ranch HS) had three multiple hits games through the first four games of the season. He was also hit by two pitches to post an on-base percentage of .571. Stafford drove in two runs to key the Cru's 7-0 win over Howard Payne and he batted .500 for the week. He also stole two bases.
 
Ozarks sophomore shortstop Andrew Beck (Conway, Ark./St Joseph HS) went 3-for-5 in game two against Concordia Texas over the weekend.
 
Sul Ross State junior first baseman Eli Gallego (Alpine, Texas/Alpine HS) had four hits in five at bats and doubled and drove in a run in the Lobos' game against Texas-Tyler Friday night. Gallego scored a run Saturday while playing at first base after starting the first game of the doubleheader on the mound. He played errorless ball in the field all weekend.
 
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES ON THE MOUND
 
Concordia Texas senior pitcher Ragan Pope (Georgetown, Texas/Georgetown HS) helped the Tornados secure a doubleheader sweep at Ozarks this past Sunday to open ASC play. Pope worked five innings, giving up only an unearned run to improve to 2-0 on the year. Pope also struck out seven batters in the win.
 
Hardin-Simmons senior pitcher Jason England (Azle, Texas/Azle HS) tossed a complete-game against former ASC rival Texas Lutheran in a 4-2 win in the first game of the series. England allowed just three base runners after the fifth inning and got stronger as the game progressed.
 
LeTourneau sophomore pitcher Jordan Carns (Sierra Vista, Ariz./Buena HS) had an impressive debut in his first two starts. Carns allowed seven hits in two starts with just one going for extra bases. He held opponents to a dismal .167 batting average and recorded eight strikeouts in 12.2 innings pitched.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior pitcher Aaron Barteau (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Lynch HS) struck out 12 batters in eight innings of work over two starts last week. He scattered seven hits and walked just three batters. Barteau struck out 10 in earning the victory in the win over Howard Payne on Saturday.
 
Sul Ross State junior pitcher Eli Gallego (Alpine, Texas/Alpine HS) started the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against Texas-Tyler, allowing five hits and one earned run in six innings. The Patriots scored three unearned runs as a result of errors and rallied to win the game in extra innings. Gallego walked one batter and struck out five in his six innings of work.
 
Texas Dallas sophomore right-hander Clayton Buckner (Atascosita, Texas/Atascosita HS) threw a gem in a losing effort Thursday as he struck out seven in a 1-0 home loss to East Texas Baptist. Buckner tossed the full nine innings and gave up one unearned run on three hits.
 
Texas-Tyler freshman pitcher Nate Imig (Leander, Texas/Leander HS) pitched 3.1 innings in relief, giving up no runs while allowing just two hits. Imig also totaled three strikeouts while walking no batters.
