2022-23 ASC Men’s Golf Schedule
RICHARDSON, Texas –
Mary Hardin-Baylor was selected to repeat as the 2023 American Southwest Conference Men’s Golf Championship in a vote of the league’s head coaches the conference office announced Thursday, September 8.
The Cru accumulated 59 points with seven first place votes. UMHB has won nine ASC men’s golf titles, including the previous two.
Second in the poll was
UT Dallas with 53 points and one first place vote. In third place is
Concordia Texas with 43 points.
LeTourneau caps the top half of the eight-place rankings with 41 points.
East Texas Baptist comes in fifth with 37 points. Rounding out the poll are:
Hardin-Simmons (24),
Howard Payne (17), and
McMurry (14).
Sixteen golfers are among those to watch in 2022-23. Nominated by the head coaches, the watch list includes eight who earned All-Conference honors in 2022.
Fall tournaments will begin Monday, September 12, with the John Bohmann Memorial Intercollegiate.
