2023 ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament Seedings Set

DALLAS – Mary Hardin-Baylor and East Texas Baptist earned a share of the 2023 American Southwest Conference Volleyball Regular Season Championship. The most recent share of a regular season title was in 2010, which was when the league had divisions. Hardin-Simmons and Texas Lutheran were 14-4 to share the West Division.

Due to the tiebreaker determining number of total sets played in the team’s head-to-head matchups, Mary Hardin-Baylor earned the top seed and privilege to host due to a straight set sweep in Belton, while East Texas Baptist went five sets to win its meeting in Marshall.

This will be the 26th ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament held. The Championship will be held in Belton for a seventh time (2023, 2021, 2020-21, 2018, 2016, 2014, 1998) and fourth time in past six years. Prior to the recent run this decade, UMHB had last hosted the first-ever ASC Championship.

Mary Hardin-Baylor and East Texas Baptist earned a bye in the first round as the top two seeds. The opening round of the quarterfinals will be Thursday, November 9, with the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 10, and the championship on Saturday, Nov. 11.

The winner of the 2023 ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament is the ASC Champion and the conference AQ to the NCAA Div. III Championship.
