OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | Katherine Server, OH, So., East Texas Baptist
Katherine Server earned tournament MVP honors at the ETBU Tiger Invitational after leading the Tigers to a 4-0 weekend. Server totaled 38 kills and a .357 hitting percentage, with her best performance coming in a 3-1 victory over Hendrix. In the match, she hit .480 with 13 kills, averaging 3.25 kills per set. Server also recorded seven block assists and two solo blocks across the four matches.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | Anita Hancock, MB, Sr., East Texas Baptist
Over four matches at the Tiger Invitational, Hancock came up big defensively, totaling 26 blocks. She averaged 1.86 blocks per set, with a game-high 11 blocks against Hendrix. Among her 26 blocks were three solo blocks, with one coming against each Hendrix, Christopher Newport, and LeTourneau. Hancock also recorded 21 kills and totaled 37.5 points on the week, earning All-Tournament honors.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
Offensive
Carter and the Cowgirls finished the week 4-1, with Carter recording a career-high 14 kills against Pomona-Pitzer. Over five matches, she totaled 45 kills and 22 digs. The Cowgirls also defeated No. 25 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in five sets, with Carter recording seven kills in the match. She added three service aces during the week.
Defensive
Miller finished the week with 70 total digs, highlighted by a season-high 28 digs in a five-set victory over LeTourneau. She also recorded eight assists and eight service aces, helping McMurry finish the week 2-2.
