2023 BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
 
RICHARDSON, Texas – 2023 American Southwest Conference Baseball Championship Tournament bracket was announced following the completion of the regular season tonight (Apr. 29).
 
East Texas Baptist won the ASC regular season title back-to-back seasons, as the tournament returns to Marshall, Texas, on May 4 through 7. Opening tournament pitch is game one at 11 a.m. on Thursday (May 4). This will be a double-elimination format with six teams filling the bracket.
 
No. 1 seed East Texas Baptist (30-10, 24-3 ASC) matched its highest league total of wins from a season ago and tied the most league wins in a single division. The Tigers received a bye and will play on their home turf on Friday at 2:00 p.m. against the winner of game two. East Texas Baptist was runner-up in 2022 and are making its 12th ASC Championship Tournament appearance.
 
No. 2 seed Concordia Texas (25-15, 17-10 ASC) earned a first-round bye and advance to play the second day of the ASC Championship Tournament on Friday at 11 a.m. The Tornados will play the winner of game one, which is between the No. 6 and No. 3 seed. CTX is in its 18th conference tournament and has four titles with the latest in 2019.
 
No. 3 seed UT Dallas (23-17, 15-12 ASC) begins its quest to defend its two-year title run on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. against LeTourneau. The teams will be familiar as they closed the regular season at Longview. UTD qualified for its 19th tournament appearance and has reached 14 straight.
 
No. 4 seed Hardin-Simmons (19-21, 14-13 ASC) opens in the second game on Thursday and will play Sul Ross State at 2:00 p.m. The Cowboys surged into this spot in the tournament bracket after winning five straight games to close out the last six of the regular season games. This makes appearance 19, which is tied for the league most.
 
No. 5 seed Sul Ross State (17-20, 13-14 ASC) returns to the conference tournament for the first time since 2019 and is making its seventh appearance. Sul Ross State opens the tournament versus Hardin-Simmons in the second contest on Thursday.
 
No. 6 seed LeTourneau (19-21, 13-14 ASC) will have a familiar opponent to start league postseason play on Thursday in the tournament opener, as it takes on UT Dallas. The YellowJackets used two walk-offs to secure the series that eventually helped them reach their fifth straight tournament.
 
The winner of the ASC Baseball Championship Tournament is the conference champion and earns an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
