Comets, YellowJackets qualify for NCAA Div. III Men's Golf Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – UT Dallas and LeTourneau were selected to compete in the 2023 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship announced on Tuesday (May 8). The championships will be held May 16-19 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky and will be hosted by Transylvania University. The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play or the conclusion of the last fully completed round.
 
A total of 221 participants will compete at the 2023 championship. Thirty-four conferences were awarded an automatic qualification for the championships. UT Dallas earned the automatic qualification from the American Southwest Conference after winning its second title with a core of 281-282-287=850.
 
LeTourneau was able to qualify out of Pool C, which holds the final eight berths that are institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that are not the conference champion and any remaining Pool B teams. This will be the YellowJackets first national championship to compete in.
 
Both programs have led the conference in national and regional rankings this season.
