Cowboys win 2024 ASC Men’s Soccer Championship

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons University won the 2024 American Southwest Conference Men’s Soccer Championship on Sunday, November 10th in Abilene.

Nick Ocasio was first to score for the Cowboys with a high left shot in the 28th minute. Jakob Fiol brought the gap to two in the 37th minute on an assist from Jordan Garcia.
    
The score remained 2-0 through the second half. The Hardin-Simmons defense held strong with only allowing eight shots in the half to earn the 2-0 victory.

Hardin-Simmons recorded 32 shots with 15 on goal while LeTourneau totaled 15 with five on frame. Carson Null got the win in the net for the Cowboys with five saves. YellowJacket goalkeeper Edson Martinez Camara recorded 12 saves in the contest.

Hardin-Simmons will receive the ASC automatic qualifier to the 2024 NCAA DIII Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament. The selection show will be on November 11th at 12:30 pm on NCAA.com.
