MSOC | Hardin-Simmons closes season in NCAA Tournament

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Hardin-Simmons men’s soccer team closed their season in the NCAA DIII Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament First Round with a 3-0 loss against Bowdoin College in San Antonio.

The first half of action remained scoreless as Hardin-Simmons’ goal keeper, Carson Null, recorded two saves. The Cowboys recorded five shots in the half. Bowdoin scored the first goal of the match in the 71st minute before adding two more in the 78th and 79th minutes. The Cowboys added four more shots in the contest with four on goal.

Daniel Villagomez led the Cowboys with two shots while seven other athletes each recorded one. Null finished the game with five saves.  

Hardin-Simmons finished their 2024 campaign as the American Southwest Conference Champions and with a 12-6-2 overall record.
