UMHB Wins Women's Cross Country ASC Title; Holland Earns Third Straight Medalist; All-Conference Teams Announced

MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor won the 2024 American Southwest Conference Women’s Cross Country Championship, on Saturday. This is the second ASC title for the Cru, the first being in the 2020-21 season. This is the 29th ASC Women’s Cross Country Championship and was held at Oak Lawn Golf Course in Marshall.
 
Hardin-Simmons senior Kylah Holland earned her third straight individual medalist title with a 6K time of 22:50.5, becoming the only student-athlete to win three individual titles in ASC history. Holland is the third individual medalist all-time for the Cowgirls and this is the fifth season that a member of that team has won.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor placed a quartet inside the top-14 individual standings. East Texas Baptist came in second place with 44 points, with three runners in the top 10. Hardin-Simmons came in third place with 57 points and LeTourneau finished fourth with 84 points.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior Presley Wall was second individually with a time of 23:44. Taking third was Hardin-Simmons junior Jasmin Mendez with a time of 24:10. The top seven finishes were named ASC First Team All-Conference. Beyond the top trio are East Texas Baptist sophomore Phoebe Dunham (24:33), Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman Laurel Jarrott (24:46), East Texas Baptist sophomore Danna Requena (24:58), and Mary Hardin-Baylor senior Chylar Greer (25:20). Six individuals earned all-conference honors multiple years.
