MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Walker Reeves, Sr., LeTourneau
LeTourneau senior
Walker Reeves (Cushing, Texas) finished 23rd, out of 86, in a field filled with Division I competition at the Rice Invitational on Friday. The senior completed the 5200-meter course in 16:49.6 to lead the YellowJackets to seventh overall.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Kylah Holland, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior
Kylah Holland (Clyde, Texas) ran a time of 23:42 to lead the Cowgirls for the No. 17 individual finish at Texas Tech. She trailed runners from Texas Tech, Odessa, UTEP, West Texas A&M, New Mexico JC, and South Plains. She was within a minute of the top 10 finishers.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
LeTourneau junior
Hope Greenwald (Tucson, Ariz.) paced the YellowJackets at the Rice Invitational with her 4k time of 16:32.5, which placed her 39th out of 76 runners in a field with Division I competition. Her finish helped LeTourneau to seventh overall at the meet.
East Texas Baptist sophomore
Danna Requena (Kilgore, Texas) finished fourth at the Southwestern Showdown with a time of 24:39.8 in the 6K race.
Hardin-Simmons freshman
Aiden Seekins (Abilene, Texas) ran an 8k in 28:06 to finish No. 58 of 105 runners at the Texas Tech Open.
East Texas Baptist senior
Noah Mink (Angleton, Texas) ran a 28:34.1 in the Southwestern Showdown to finish in ninth place as a top 10 finisher.
