MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Walker Reeves, Sr., LeTourneau
LeTourneau senior
Walker Reeves (Cushing, Texas) helped LeTourneau to a second-place finish at the season-opening Nicole Leman Invitational with a 3-mile time of 15:42.1. That time placed him third overall in a meet with 37 runners.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Kylah Holland, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior
Kylah Holland (Clyde, Texas) ran a 19:00.39 5K at the TCU John McKenzie Invitational in Fort Worth. She finished ninth individually in a field of Division I athletes.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior
Presley Wall (Decatur, Texas) ran a 19:28.85 to finish 23rd at the Stormy Seas Opener, behind only one other Division III runner. Other competing runners were representing the University of Texas.
LeTourneau junior
Hope Greenwald (Tucson, Ariz.) paced the YellowJackets at the season-opening Nicole Leman Invitational with her second-place finish and 3-mile time of 20:47.6. The run led LeTourneau to second overall in the meet.
Hardin-Simmons senior
Elijah Holmes (Waxahachie, Texas) ran a 17:32 5K at the TCU John McKenzie Invitational to finish top 50 among a field of Division I athletes.
