DALLAS, Texas – The East Texas Baptist Volleyball team are the No. 1 team in the nation in the first NCAA Division III Volleyball NPI rankings. This is the first time in program history the Tigers have received a first-place national ranking.

ETBU received 70.668 points in the ranking, as they hold a 22-0 overall record and a 4-0 American Southwest Conference mark. The Tigers have earned a trio of wins over AVCA top 25 ranked teams this season, including Wisconsin-Eau Claire who is No. 3 in the NPI ranking, Trinity (TX) who stands at No. 11 and Berry who is ranked No. 18. ETBU has also recorded 15 sweeps in their 22 wins so far this season.

The Tigers return to action on Thursday, October 23^rd as they take on No. 25 St. Thomas (TX) to start a three-game home stand.
