DALLAS, Texas – Hardin-Simmons ranks first in NCAA DIII Region III and stands at No. 5/6 in the nation after week eight of action.

The Cowboys ranked first in Region III with a 5-0 in-division record and a 73.365 NPI. HSU is ranked No. 5 in the AFCA Coaches poll with 1079 points and No. 5 in the NPI National rankings. In the D3football.com Top 25 Poll, the Cowboys remain at No. 6 with 482 points.

Hardin-Simmons moved to 7-0 on the year after a 68-14 win over Nelson College on Saturday. The Cowboys return to action on Saturday, November 1^st with a 1:00 p.m. contest against Howard Payne in Brownwood.
