MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Coleman Bales, Fr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist freshman Coleman Bales led the Tigers at the DBU classic as he shot a 73-72-77=222 (+6). Bales finished the tournament in the top 30 individually while in competition with several top ranked Division II programs.
 
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Claire Smith, Fr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman Claire Smith (Montgomery, Texas) shot a 74-73=147 (+1) to win the Chick-fil-A Invitational. She finished atop the leaderboard with two other golfers. Smith shot just +1 on the first day of action and followed that with a personal-best even-par in round two.
