MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Caleb Kesting, Jr., East Texas Baptist
Caleb Kesting finished third out of 68 golfers at the Linda Lowery Invitational, posting rounds of 70-73-143. He opened the tournament in second place at two-under par and followed with a one-over round on day two to finish just three strokes behind the medalist. Kesting recorded eight birdies in the tournament, including six in the opening round. East Texas Baptist placed third overall behind LeTourneau and St. Thomas (TX).

WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Rylee Beard, So., East Texas Baptist
Rylee Beard led East Texas Baptist to a first-place team finish at the Linda Lowery Invitational with a runner-up individual performance, finishing second out of 47 golfers. Beard shot a 79 in round one with three birdies and followed with two birdies in round two to finish with a 154, just two strokes behind LeTourneau’s Kinley Pessel, who is ranked #23 nationally. Her strong second round propelled her from 10th place into second, helping secure the team title for the Tigers.

OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Tyler Merchant (Hardin-Simmons) placed seventh at the Linda Lowery Invitational with rounds of 73-71-144, totaling 11 birdies across the tournament and helping his team to a sixth-place finish.

Hallie Westfall (East Texas Baptist) finished fourth with a 157 (78-79), contributing to the Tigers’ team victory at the Linda Lowery Invitational.
