New Braunfels, Texas - The ASC had 17 football student-athletes named to the D3football.com All-Region 3 team. Mary Hardin-Baylor wide receiver/return specialist BJ Stewart and East Texas Baptist defensive end Dominick Williams led the
D3football.com 2025 All-Region 3 team. Stewart was named Region 3 Offensive Player of the Year, while Williams was named the Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year.
Stewart and Williams, as well as Hayden Philpot from Hardin-Simmons were named AFCA All-Americans. Stewart was named First Team-Special Teams, Williams was named Second Team-Defense, and Philpot was named Second Team-Offense.
Stewart, a senior from Shreveport, Louisiana, had 62 catches for 776 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Cru this season as UMHB finished 7-3 overall. He also averaged 46 yards per kickoff return and 15.4 yards per punt return, adding two touchdowns in the return game. Stewart was previously a first-team All-Region 3 selection and a first-team All-America selection in 2022, when he played for Trinity (Texas).
A senior from Houston, Texas, Williams finished with 72 tackles, 40 of them solo, in East Texas Baptist’s 10-game season. He was credited with 16½ tackles for loss, including 10½ sacks, while blocking three kicks and forcing three fumbles. ETBU finished with a 4-6 record.
Philpot, a senior from Decatur, was named to the All-American team after being named the ASC offensive lineman of the year and earning first-team All-ASC honors. Philpot helped lead the Cowboys to a 9-2 record.
