HITTER OF THE WEEK – Landon Prestage, 1B, Sr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne senior first baseman
Landon Prestage (Gainsville, Texas) went 5-for-9 at the plate in a three-game series versus Lyon College. Prestage was 2 for 3 in game one with two homeruns. In the Yellow Jackets 2-1 series win over the Scots, he finished the series with a 1.778 slug percentage with three homeruns, two doubles, and three walks.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Daylan Bower, RHP, Jr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne junior pitcher
Daylan Bower (Gunter, Texas) got a 5.0 inning win for the Yellow Jackets over Lyon College recording nine strikeouts. Bower allowed one unearned run on two hits and walked just one batter.

LeTourneau freshman second baseman
Austin Wiederhold (Montgomery, Texas) led the way for the YellowJackets offensively in the season-opening series at Millsaps as he batted .667 (6-for-9) with two doubles, three runs, four RBIs, and an OPS of 1.603. He had two hits in each game, including going 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs in a 17-16 comeback win in the finale.
UT Dallas senior left fielder
Lucas Rexin (Frisco, Texas) hit .444 (4-for-9) with five RBI as the Comets swept Hardin-Simmons in a three-game series. He recorded at least a hit, a run and RBI in all three contests, driving in two runs each in both games Sunday. Rexin also had a double and a sacrifice fly in the 10-5 finale victory.
East Texas Baptist graduate student outfielder
Luke Finn (Lucas, Texas) led ETBU in batting at .400 with three RBI in a close three-game series vs. Belhaven. He went 2-of-3 in game 1 with 2 RBI in the 11-3 win on Friday night. He had one hit in game 2 and a hit in game three for the tying run and his third RBI of the series.
PITCHERS
UT Dallas senior pitcher
Dylan Collins (Fairview, Texas) improved to 2-0 on the season, earning the win over six innings in Sunday's 6-1 victory against Hardin-Simmons. He struck out six batters, allowing five hits, one walk and an unearned run.
East Texas Baptist junior pitcher
Matthew Irwin (Katy, Texas) earned his first win of the year, going six innings of the nine-inning opening series game vs. Belhaven. He struck out a career-high seven batters, allowing just one earned run and four hits. He retired the side in the fourth and fifth innings and seven batters straight between the third and fifth innings. ETBU was up 2-0 in the third inning as BU had runners on 1st and 3rd base with two outs, and the batter flew out to LF to not allow any runs. He then retired the side in the fourth and fifth innings before BU scored a run in the sixth with two outs.
