HITTER OF THE WEEK – Taylor McDaniel, Gr., INF, Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor graduate student Taylor McDaniel helped lead the Cru to a 3-1 record last week, including a win over Schreiner and a 2-1 series finish against La Verne. McDaniel finished the week with seven hits, three home runs, and seven RBI.

In the 7-3 win over Schreiner, McDaniel stole two bases and scored a run. In the series against La Verne, McDaniel continued to be a steady force at the plate, hitting two doubles and two home runs, including a key performance in a 9-8 victory. The Cru are off to a strong start this season, sitting at 15-6 overall.


PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Caleb Reynolds, Sr., P, Hardin-Simmons
Caleb Reynolds earns back-to-back ASC Pitcher of the Week honors after pitching 6.1 innings in an 8-2 Hardin-Simmons win over Concordia Chicago. In his outing, Reynolds faced 27 batters and held them to a .261 batting average. He recorded three strikeouts and allowed just six hits throughout his time on the mound.

Reynolds helped the Cowboys secure the victory and continued his strong momentum after setting the school record for strikeouts in a game (17) during the first week of March.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

HITTERS
Justin Blancaflor of Hardin-Simmons went 5-for-10 in a 2-1 series win against Concordia Chicago last week. Blancaflor totaled four runs, six RBI, and two home runs.

Kaden Wharton of East Texas Baptist hit .545 with two doubles and two RBI in a Tigers sweep over Lyon College. Wharton posted a .727 slugging percentage on the week. 

PITCHERS
Jake Schumacher earned the win in relief on Friday night against Lyon. In 3.0 innings pitched, Schumacher retired six batters after entering the game with ETBU trailing 7-5. His performance helped the Tigers rally for an 8-7 victory in the bottom of the 10th inning.
