DALLAS, Texas – Five Student-Athletes represent the American Southwest Conference on D3hoops.com All-Region 10 Teams and NABC All-District Teams, released Tuesday. LeTourneau senior Deonte Jackson earns Region 10 Player of the Year honors. Hardin-Simmons Head Coach, Matt Brackett earned NABC District 10 Coach of the Year honors.
LeTourneau senior guard
Deonte Jackson earned Region 10 Player of the Year honors, was a D3hoops.com First Team All-Region 10 selection and a NABC All-District 10 First Team honoree. Jackson averaged 23.8 points per game and totaled 620 points while shooting 49 percent from the field. He ranks fifth nationally in points per game and closed the regular season eighth in total points. Jackson ranked second in the conference in assists (98) and steals (63). He had a season-high 40 points and nine three-pointers against Mary Hardin-Baylor (Feb. 13) while totaling 17 games with 20+ points in the 2024-25 campaign. Jackson earned ASC Player of the Year, All-ASC First Team honors, D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors and was on the Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List.
Hardin-Simmons Head Men’s Basketball Coach
Matt Brackett was named NABC District 10 Coach of the Year after claiming his first ASC Championship win and the first for Hardin-Simmons since 2017. He was the Coach of the Year in the ASC after going 8-0 and becoming only the fourth men's basketball team to finish conference play undefeated. Brackett's team won two games in the NCAA Tournament over Cal Lu and the University of St. Thomas before traveling to the NCAA Sweet 16 against No. 1 overall NYU. The Cowboys finished the year with a record of 20-10.
Hardin-Simmons graduate student forward
Will Bartoszek earned NABC All-District 10 Second Team honors. He averaged 10.7 points a game and totaled 126 rebounds. Bartoszek also added 45 assists and 26 steals. He was named ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year and earned All-ASC First Team honors.
Three student-athletes were named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 10 Second Team.
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior guard
Eli Beard earned Second Team All-Region honors. He ranked second in the conference with 580 points and 22.3 points per game. Beard added 77 assists, 101 rebounds and 32 steals in the 2024-25 campaign.
Hardin-Simmons sophomore forward
Chris Bryant also received Second Team honors. He led the Cowboys with 450 points this season, averaging 15 points per game and shooting 57.6 percent from the field. Bryant totaled 202 rebounds, 57 assists and 59 blocks.
Hardin-Simmons senior center
Austin Brewer was a Second Team selection. He led the Cowboys in rebounds with 228 total while adding 433 points. Brewer added 119 free throws and 55 assists. He also contributed 30 blocks and 27 steals to the Cowboys successful season.
