HITTER OF THE WEEK – Luke Bumpus, OF, Gr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist graduate student outfielder Luke Bumpus (Wylie, Texas) had a career series going 10-of-19 hitting .526 with 12 RBI, 18 total bases, two home runs, and two doubles, with a .947 SLG. In game one he went 2-of-4 with a run scored, and in the final three games Bumpus was 8-of-15 (.534) with 12 RBI and eight runs scored with two home runs. In the 20-3 win in game two of series, he was 3-of-5 with three runs scored with three RBI and a home run. In game three, a 26-3 win, Bumpus went 4-of-6 with six RBI and a home run. Game four brought a 14-9 win with a three RBI and a double.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Clayton Holt, RHP, Jr., LeTourneau
LeTourneau junior pitcher Clayton Holt (Dobbins, Texas) made two appearances out of the bullpen, totaling five innings, and did not allow a run in the series at ETBU. He surrendered just three hits and totaled eight strikeouts on the week. Holt notched the save in a 6-3 win game-one win as he tossed the final three innings and struck out four while allowing just two hits and no runs. He also threw two innings in game four with four strikeouts and no runs allowed.

Mary Hardin-Baylor senior outfielder Carson Hagan (Arlington, Texas) went 7-20 at the plate, scoring five runs and driving in seven more. He added two doubles and one triple on the week.
 
LeTourneau sophomore outfielder Luke Land (Longview, Texas) batted .438 (7-for-16) with a home run, eight RBIs, and two doubles in a series at ETBU. He had a hit in all four games, and had three multi-hit games. Land went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a double in a 6-3 game-one win. He also went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs in game four.
 
UT Dallas senior second baseman Albert Garza (Santa Fe, Texas) hit .500 (8-for-16) with nine runs scored, a double, three home runs, seven RBI and six walks out of the leadoff spot as UT Dallas swept Hardin-Simmons in a four-game road series. He connected on his first three home runs of the season in the series, including two in Thursday's 14-4 victory. Garza was also perfect at second base on 15 chances. He recorded a 1.125 slugging and .636 on-base percentage in the series.
 
Howard Payne senior first baseman Seth Bowman (Fort Worth, Texas) went 9 for 16 at the plate in a conference series versus UMHB. Bowman hit .563 with a .875 slg. pct. while driving in four runs.
 
PITCHERS
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman pitcher Kolby McBee (Hewitt, Texas) went six innings in his win over Howard Payne last week, allowing just six hits in 35 batters faced. McBee allowed just one run scored in his outing and gave up just one extra-base hit. He walked only two batters with six total strikeouts on the day.
 
Howard Payne senior pitcher Canon De Serf (Richmond, Texas) went 7.1 innings in a 7-3 Howard Payne win over UMHB. De Serf struck out three while allowing three runs on eight hits.
 
East Texas Baptist freshman pitcher Brayden Hodge (Katy, Texas) earned his first win of the year in vs. LETU of the 20-3 win in the 7-inning game. He pitched 3.2 innings giving up no runs and only one hit with two strikeouts. He retired the first eight batters he faced with two strikeouts and gave up a hit in the seventh inning.
 
UT Dallas senior right-handed pitcher Trevor McGrath (Kyle, Texas) started and picked up the win in the Comets' 14-4 victory at Hardin-Simmons Thursday. He fanned three batters over seven innings, allowing seven hits, one run and no walks.
