BROWNWOOD, Texas – Mary Hardin-Baylor leads the field after the first round of the American Southwest Conference Championship on Friday at The Hideout Golf Club in Brownwood.

UMHB holds first place after shooting a 299 (+11) during the first round. UC Santa Cruz is in second with a 305 (+17) followed by LeTourneau in third with a 316 (+28). Hardin-Simmons stands in fourth with a 322 (+36) while East Texas Baptist is in fifth, carding a 324 (+36).

Izzy Crow (UMHB) is in first place individually shooting an even 72. Samantha Shaw (UCSC) is in second with a 73 (+1) followed by Emma Iles (UMHB) in third with a 74 (+2). Karlee Holcomb (UMHB), Olivia Lew (UCSC) and Macy Rutland (LETU) are tied for fourth with a first day 76 (+4).

Action will continue with the second round of the championship Saturday, April 26^th with tee times beginning at 8:00 AM.
