MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Andrae Gibson, Sr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist senior
Andrae Gibson (McKinney, Texas) had two top 10 performances in a big Midwest NCAA Division III Meet in Iowa. In the 200-meter dash he was 8th out of 61 participants with the third best D3 time in the event. He came in front of D1, D2, D3, and CC runners from Creighton, South Dakota State, Truman State, NW Missouri State and others. He was then 6th in the 400 meter dash with the top D3 time coming in ahead of D1s Northern Iowa and St. Louis.
MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Garrett Rothans, Gr., Hardin-Simmons

Garrett Rothans (Austin, Texas) had his best high jump of the year clearing 6-9 ft. at Tarleton State last weekend to win the event in the meet. His clear at 2.06m puts him tied for fifth-best mark in Division III outdoor track in the high jump, which makes him one of the top-15 high jumpers in Division III and a early qualifying height.
WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Brittney Snow, Fr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist freshman
Brittney Snow (New Braunfels, Texas) faced several NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and CC runners at the meet. She had the top D3 time in the 400 meter dash at 1:00.56 defeating runners from Creighton, Missouri Western, Wartburg, Truman State, and Central College. In the 200 meter dash, she was 19th of 60 runners at 26.74.
WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Janae Green, Jr., Hardin-Simmons

Janae Green (Sunnyvale, Texas) had the best high jump of the day with a second-place finish of 5-3.75 ft. Her jump on Saturday at Tarleton was just .01m short of her season-best 1.63m, which is currently ranked No. 27 in Division III.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
East Texas Baptist sophomore
Cooper Mosier (Anna, Texas) had his best distance of the year at 164'7" finishing second out of 30 throwers. He was a foot off of winning the event won by Augustana. On his fourth overall throw he hit the 164' mark. He came in front of NCAA D1, D2, D3 participants from Wartburg, Central, Missouri Western, and Western Illinois.
Hardin-Simmons freshman
Aiden Seekins (Abilene, Texas) had a record day running at Tarleton State for the Cowboys on Saturday. He finished in third place at the meet in the 3000m steeplechase with a record 10:06 time. Seekins had previously set the record in the event with a 10:10 earlier this season and improved that mark in the record book for Hardin-Simmons men's outdoor track as a freshman.
East Texas Baptist senior
Shakayla Browder (Campti, LA) competed against NCAA D1, D2, D3, CC, and NAIA throwers in both events. She threw 105'9" in the discus for 33rd and 29'1" in the shot put for 32nd.
Hardin-Simmons senior
Danielle Pena (Ballinger, Texas) ran a great time in the 400m for the Cowgirls to lead the team at Tarleton State last Saturday. Pena clocked a 1:00.82 400m to place ninth overall at the meet.
