2025 Championship Central
MARSHALL, Texas – One game was completed in the second day of the 2025 American Southwest Conference Baseball Championship on the campus of East Texas Baptist before inclement weather arrived in the area. No. 4 Seed Hardin-Simmons defeated No. 3 Seed Mary Hardin-Baylor in an elimination game to start the day.
Game 5 between East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau was moved to Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Game 6 originally scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday night will be pushed to Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Hardin-Simmons earned a 12-5 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor in an elimination game to advance. The contest played close through eight innings until an explosive ninth inning put the Cowboys ahead by seven.

Caleb Smith earned the win for the Cowboys, pitching 5.0 innings with no runs on two hits with one strikeout. James McGlumphy took the loss for the Cru, pitching 5.0 innings with six earned runs on 12 hits with five strikeouts.
Stat Leaders:
Blancaflor led the Cowboys with four hits while Baylan Vaughan totaled three. Kirkbride recorded five RBI followed by Hollingsworth with three. The Cru had a trio of batters with a pair of hits while Melick led with two RBI.
Hardin-Simmons will face the loser of Hardin-Simmons and LeTourneau Saturday at 5:00 PM.
