DALLAS, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor won the NCAA DIII Week video contest, announced at the end of May.

The Division III CSC Convention Planning Committee invited all NCAA campuses to create a video capturing their Division III Week experience, focusing promoting activities and celebrations on your campus or in your conference throughout the week.
The Mary Hardin-Baylor communications staff put together the DIII Week video to highlight UMHB’s actions and celebrations throughout the week. To video highlighted Student-Athlete spotlights, recognition of professors and staff and community service activities.
The first event of the week was Crush Cancer at the Cru’s Baseball Tuesday night baseball game. Student-Athletes helped raise money for Addi’s Faith Foundation, a foundation to help fight childhood cancer. The contest also featured a special first pitch and moment of silence during the seventh inning stretch.
Towards the end of DIII Week, UMHB hosted the CenTex Champs Game. During this event, local special needs softball teams bring their weekly contest to the UMHB softball field. Athletes from multiple sports teams participate in the event and cheer on the athletes as they score homeruns.
