AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE MEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lars Clark, F, Fr., East Texas Baptist

East Texas Baptist freshman forward Lars Clark (Plano, Texas) had a career weekend with four goals, scoring two in each match. He took six shots with five on goal as one was saved. In the 4-3 loss to McMurry, he scored a goal to make it 2-1, ETBU, and then had the tying goal on a penalty kick in 80th minute before McM scored in the 85 min. In the Schreiner win, he posted the first goal in the 27th minute and the final goal in the 90th minute for the 5-2 victory.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Liam Cisneros, D, Jr., Hardin-Simmons

Hardin-Simmons junior defender Liam Cisneros (Abilene, Texas) played the nearly every minute of defense for the Cowboys last week, with 86 minutes against Concordia Texas and the full 90 minutes in the 4-2 win over Centenary College. Cisneros record one shot in the win over Centenary and played well for the Cowboys on defense in his first two starts of teh 2025 season.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Hardin-Simmons graduate student midfielder Benny Lube (Allen, Texas) finished with three points for the Cowboys in the win over Centenary last Thursday. Lube had an assist and also scored his third goal of the season, which is second for the Cowboys in six games this season. He finished with four shots on goal on the week, with two against Concordia Texas in 78 minutes of play on Tuesday and two against Centenary playing 64 minutes.
